For Sarah Rock, a game of padel starts before she steps onto the court. Living in Koh Samui, the weather and time of day influence what she wears, but one rule remains: everything should coordinate. “My friends know that if they’re playing with me, we have to match,” she laughs. A former hockey and netball player, Sarah grew up wearing a uniform and still loves the sense of belonging that comes with coordinating her look. “I think it makes us feel more like a team if we’re wearing matching colours.” These days, she’s choosing the colours herself.
